**Job Summary**

We are **URGENTLY** seeking a **Compassionate, Bilingual (Spanish/English) Private Caregiver** to assist an elderly husband returning home from the hospital this Friday. The recipient has **Dementia and Parkinson’s** and is on a long-term care list, requiring **specialized experience** with both conditions and providing **comfort care** during this transitional period. Responsibilities include personal care (ADLs), mobility assistance, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and providing empathetic **Spanish-speaking companionship** to enhance comfort and dignity. Immediate interviews are being scheduled.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Bilingual Communication**: Speaking Spanish with Jorge to provide comfort, aid in cognitive engagement, and build rapport.
- **Dementia and Parkinson's Care**: Providing specialized assistance that understands the unique challenges of both conditions (e.g., managing tremors, assisting with mobility, and using therapeutic communication).
- **Personal Care**: Assisting with **Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)**, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- **Mobility Assistance**: Safe transfer assistance (bed to chair, etc.) and supervised walking to prevent falls.
- **Medication Reminders**: Ensuring medications are taken on schedule (under the family's direction/RN oversight).
- **Companionship**: Providing engaging, supportive, and empathetic companionship.
- **Meal Preparation**: Preparing simple, nutritious meals and assisting with feeding as necessary.
- **Reporting**: Regularly communicating observations and any changes in Jorge's condition directly to Lori Wasyk (in English).

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- **Must be Fluent in Spanish and English.**:

- Proven experience as a Caregiver, **especially with Dementia and/or Parkinson’s clients**.
- **Certification (CNA, HHA, PCA) is preferred** but demonstrated experience and exceptional references are essential.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a genuine, warm, and patient demeanor.
- Ability to handle the emotional aspects of end-of-life or complex-needs care with professionalism and empathy.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if travel is required).
- Must be legally authorized to work and pass a background check.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $21.93-$26.00 per hour
