**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Server to join our dynamic team. The Head Server plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests by overseeing the service staff and maintaining high standards of hospitality. This position requires a strong background in customer service, food safety, and restaurant operations, as well as the ability to lead and motivate a team.
**Duties**
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the serving staff to ensure efficient service.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during their dining experience.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in the dining area.
- Assist with food preparation and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet quality standards before serving.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash registers.
- Train new staff on restaurant policies, procedures, and best practices in guest services.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management.
**Experience**
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is required, with a focus on customer service and hospitality.
- Strong cash handling skills and proficiency in basic math for accurate transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain health standards.
- Experience in food preparation is a plus, along with an understanding of menu items and pairings.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
