Under the supervision of the Store Manager and Inventory Supervisor, this position is responsible for cycle counting inventory at the Port Coquitlam location, training team members on accurate counting procedures, and investigating inventory discrepancies. This position is also responsible for supporting the Inventory Control Clerk (Receiver) by entering invoices into the POS to maintain up-to-date live inventory records as well as any other duties assigned by the General Manager/Founder.

**Responsibilities**
- Monitor and maintain current inventory levels by performing physical cycle counts in-store, adhering to the count schedule as best as possible
- Investigate count discrepancies, reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports, and update inventory numbers as necessary
- Open and close cycle count files in the POS
- Coordinate with the Store Manager to create an effective cycle count schedule
- Audit and verify invoices to confirm accurate pricing from vendors, if necessary
- Troubleshoot technical difficulties with hardware and software (PDA guns, POS, etc.)
- Liaise with Live Inventory Team on a regular basis; communicate wins and challenges as the pilot project progresses
- Fill-in for Inventory Control Clerk as necessary (back-fill to ensure invoices are up-to-date, and holiday coverage).
- Review holding tank discrepancies and adjust receiving errors if necessary
- General administrative tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment
- Adhere to Health and Safety policies, including exposure control notices if required to cleanup biohazard waste (training provided)
- Perform duties as assigned or directed
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Experience counting physical inventory and/or managing inventory in a POS is required
- High attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) as well as Google docs
- Have the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong analytical skills
- Have a strong attention to detail and efficient data entry skills
- Able to bend, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Frequent moving and standing is required as physical inventory is counted on the sales floor.
- Have the ability to prioritize workloads and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Have the ability to support competing demands
- Have the ability and willingness to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary
- Travel between locations will be required occasionally
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $17.50-$21.00 per hour
