**SUMMARY**:
The Manager - Logistics and Warehousing is responsible for leading the team and is accountable for all Logistics and Warehousing functions at our MRK facilities. This person must provide strong leadership to the logistics team and proactively support daily functions and continuous improvement of department processes, equipment, personnel, and organization structure in support of business goals. Must be able to develop and maintain a positive culture and work environment within the department that is in line with Robertet’s vision.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Production meeting - Print and update reports nightly, chair morning meeting to plan daily shipments and update information for future shipments.
- Display strong cross-functional teamwork with Customer Service, Production, Quality and Sales Support to obtain order status and changes.
- Daily Shipments - Gather any needed information for shipment, determine which carrier to use. Prepare carrier pro bills. Broker proforma invoices (US). Scan and send documents to carrier customs and BCB (US). Call carriers and confirm the shipments leave on time. Working closely with production to make sure shipments go out.
- International shipments - Prepare documentation (Customs invoice, packing slip, Cert of Origin, B/L). Work with customers to ensure the documents have required information and certification. Certify and legalize documents when required (Egyptian consultants, Chamber of commerce). Work with freight forwarders to arrange the best transit for the shipments. Work with customers and their freight forwarder for collect shipments. Do CERS/B13 for international shipments over $2000. CAD. When required, courier documents to the bank and customers.
- Accountable for the MRK logistics and warehousing budget. Optimizes outside warehouse utilization to optimize cost.
- Lead and develop the logistics and warehouse team to deliver unparalleled customer service.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including: freight, returns, receiving, parcels and transfers.
- Ensure all Logistics and Warehousing activities are performed safely and to regulation. Strives to continuously improve the results.
- Support the day-to-day functions of the team, helping with warehouse functions, contacting freight carriers, and setting up/tracking sales order prep work.
- Customer Service support, i.e., tracking information, freight rates, any updates required, back up for invoicing.
- Determine if a product is a Dangerous Good and do IMO if required for shipping.
- Follow up on orders to ensure they are getting to the dock in a timely manner for shipping.
- Maintain product list for BCB, keep updated to ensure smooth clearing at border.
- Maintain NAFTA/USMCA certificate for yearly and per shipment requirement.
- Work with carriers when shipments are not moving on time, lost or damaged. Ensure the best rates for the best services.
- Daily, follow up on shipments making sure everything is moving as it should.
- Organize returns, arrange carrier, and send documents to Montoria for import clearance.
- Approve carrier invoices.
- Keep files and documents well organized so information can be easily found when needed

- Track and trace all inbound shipments for all imports.
- Forward all required documents to customs and freight forwarders for the release of all imports.
- Ensure that Robertet is in compliance with DOT 49CFR, IATA/ICAO, IMDG/IMO regulations to include training, certification and all necessary practices.
- Commitment to Robertet and SQF Safety and Quality Standards and continuous improvement of the quality management systems.
