**General Summary of Position**:
The Floor Hand assists the other crew members in their day to day duties and is responsible for keeping the rig site clean and performing basic maintenance. Maintaining the rig and making connections will be the main responsibilities of this role.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Effectively assist other members of the crew
- Ensure the Drill floor is kept clean while drilling is taking place.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Assist in moving the rig, rigging up, and rigging out.
- Participate in all safety initiatives & meetings.
- Following and enforcing relevant policies, regulations, and standards.
- Supporting Horizon’s core values in all aspects of day-to-day operations and decision-making

**Qualifications**:

- Previous rig experience is considered an asset
- Valid H2S Alive certification
- Valid CSO certification
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation

**Safety and Physical Demands**:
The Floor Hand position is deemed to be a “Safety Sensitive” position due to the proximity of heavy industrial machinery. Working on a drilling rig comes with many physical demands and a commitment to a safe work environment. A rig worker is exposed to all weather conditions, long hours, shift rotation, and is physically demanding. Horizon Drilling is committed to ensuring rig workers meet these physical demands by having each employee successfully complete a substance screening and strength and mobility test prior to them being hired. Rig workers should be able to successfully lift 90 lbs., work 12 hours shifts, 24-hour operation, in extreme weather conditions, and are able to work in a team environment.
