**JOB PURPOSE**:
Grainsconnect Canada is in need an of an experienced Logistics and Administrative Coordinator to work in our Maymont, SK location. This is a 14 month contract position to cover a maternity leave.
We are seeking a high performer to manage and execute inbound elevator contracts to fulfill business unit goals while developing and maintaining relationships internally, with customers and with service providers.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Manage and administer contracts to maximize returns to the business ensuring the cost-effective execution within the specified contract terms.
- Liaise with growers and service providers (freight contractors) to deliver on contracts.
- Negotiate, purchase and contract grain over the phone and at the elevator.
- Enter and produce invoices for customer and suppliers and liaise with counterparties as necessary.
- Ensure accuracy of contract entry in trading software system and maintenance of data in system including confirmations, filing, and archiving.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships, specifically with our customers and our service providers on a professional level at all times - both internal and external.
- Proactively improve internal processes to increase efficiencies and decrease risks to the group.
**KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:
**Essential**
- Must be flexible, team oriented and motivated to deliver strategic objectives.
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to work to deadlines in a team environment.
- Be able to think on your feet and make quick, informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills coupled with a strong and professional work ethic.
- High level skills in Microsoft Office 365 programs.
**Desirable**
- 4+ years’ experience in a similar company, or within the grains industry at an operational level.
- Tertiary degree, ideally in Business, Marketing, Economics or Agriculture
- A proven track record of strong performance in a high-pressure environment
