**Job description** A Bread Affair on Granville Island is earning its reputation as the "go-to" location on the Island. From freshly baked treats like croissants, pain au chocolat, or ice cream sandwiches, to our signature breads and outstanding lunches, we thrive on superior service to our guests, award-winning baked goods, and a great team atmosphere. **Job Type**: Full-time **Salary**: $50,000 - $60,000 The Front of House Team Leader is part of a team of retail leadership at our Granville Island bakery. A Bread Affair requires our Team Leader to assist with the following: 1. Scheduling the staff team and handling scheduling issues as they occur. 2. Training new team members so that they are able to meet the expectations of A Bread Affair and help contribute to organizational success. 3. Auditing adherence to procedures such as sanitation plans, stock rotation processes, and other daily activities. 4. Finding new ways to increase organizational efficiency and cut costs. 5. Working at various farmers markets across the lower mainland, which includes tracking market trends and sales, ensuring smooth operations of the markets, and conducting weekly vehicle maintenance. 6. Any other reasonable duties assigned by management. Our Granville Island bakery is open daily and the expectation is that the Team Leader will have full availability. The ability to work on Saturday and Sunday, our two busiest days, is expected. To be successful we would look for you to demonstrate: 1) Training or successful work experience in leading a staff team to success, including scheduling, training and monitoring staff. 2) Detail oriented with a developed habit of note taking so that you are able to ensure policies are appropriately understood and followed. 3) Food Safe training, a valid driver's license (required), and First Aid training are all assets that A Bread Affair values from our team leaders, although not each one is required.
