**Position Title**:Cleaner **Job Status**: Permanent, Part-Time

**Reports To**:General Manager
Position Summary

Hours: 6 pm-10 pm

The Cleaner is responsible for creating a cleaning system that upholds the best possible standards in all areas and training and exercise rooms. This includes all windows, walls, floors, toilets, showers, sinks etc. The cleaner is also responsible for disinfecting and thoroughly cleaning surfaces and equipment between rounds of regular cleaning to ensure hygiene protocols are always upheld.

**Responsibilities**:
Under the supervision of the General Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Cleaner include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Cleaning the gym and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment after each class;
- Sweeping & mopping the mats, cleaning and disinfecting change rooms and showers, disinfecting equipment;
- Ensuring supplies are always restocked, when necessary;
- Replenish water, cleaning supplies, etc.;
- Perform repairs such as changing bulbs, installing shelves, furniture assembly, painting touch-ups;
- Support front desk staff with tasks such as removing signage and cleaning reception area;
- Follow all health and safety regulations, in accordance with government mandates;
- Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests; and
- Perform other routine maintenance jobs and all general cleaning as needed

Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma;
- Previous experience working in a gym environment or in custodial services seen as an asset;
- Available to work flexible hours;
- Able to lift medium and heavy objects such as cleaning supply boxes;
- Must provide police check before starting employment;
- Certificates in CPR and first aid training to be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Part-time hours: 15 per week

Pay: $16.00 per hour
