Manager, Solution Delivery

Working in the ecommerce sector, we are currently looking for a Manager, Solution Delivery to join our team. In this role, the Manager, Solution Delivery manager will support project managers to ensure that projects deliveries are made within deadlines and budgets. He/she will also have to interact with customers to an executive level to provide overall project status, issues resolution and escalation process. His/her role will align on delivery approach, tools and processes with other internal teams, sharing/implementing best practices, whilst supporting technology solutions initiatives where relevant.
**Main responsibilities**:

- Support project managers in project delivery by providing access to required internal and external support in all phases of delivery;
- Ensure that the delivery is compliant and meets the client’s needs and expectations;
- Take an active part in suggesting technologies, tools and approaches;
- Contribute to best practices, processes and the company’s delivery management knowledge base;
- Act as a central point of communication between the Product Management and Technology teams on development-oriented projects;
- Act as a mediator for the team against external distractions and contextual changes, effectively identifying and removing obstacles;
- Proactively manage risks and issues related to the business area in a timely manner and make decisions to mitigate or resolve them as appropriate;
- Work closely with project managers to ensure RAIDS are fully documented, mitigated, and escalated as necessary;
- Ensure regular reporting is provided as required against the roadmap, plans and KPIs including KPIs and OKRs;
- Govern delivery between stakeholders, manage complicated technology issues, ensure design, code and overall solution are of impeccable quality;
- Be fully accountable for the overall customer experience in terms of delivery;
- Play a proactive role in contributing to the development and sharing of delivery management best practices and processes within the company;
- Understand the financial models of the service business and manage budgeting and forecasting wisely;
- Manage within approved financial targets, report on financial progress and success, analyze performance and implement improvement actions.

**Desired profile**:

- Ability to understand the big picture and dive into project-level detail;
- Ability to build and manage “at scale” in a multi-regional configuration;
- Strong communication skills, and proven ability to manage conflict and take responsibility;
- Knowledge of the retail and ecommerce industries;
- In-depth knowledge of cutting-edge digital and omnichannel solutions;
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or relevant field;
- 10+ years of experience in software delivery or project management;
- 5+ years of experience in delivery leader or team leader, solution or enterprise architect, or delivery or project or program manager roles;
- Strong software engineering/solution architect experience;
- Strong experience in managing end-to-end delivery commitments on teams averaging 10-20 total people;
- Experience managing project delivery by all stakeholders and proven experience managing complex technical issues, quality assurance and on-time delivery;
- Experience with outcome-based configurations, meeting firm commitments and fixed deadlines;
- Agile/Scrum experience is a must.
