Stoney Creek, Canada Westdale Machine Company Full time

Westdale Machine is currently seeking a full-time Estimator to join their expanding team.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Read and interpret technical drawings to determine labour, material, and time requirements for various parts and projects.
- Liaise with customers regarding their requests for quotations.
- Extract information from ERP system (JobBoss2) to develop estimates based on past work.
- Collect pricing information from various subcontractors, vendors, or suppliers.
- Consult and communicate with Engineers, Machinists, and Schedulers regarding project feasibility.
- Use JobBoss2 to generate quotations, estimates, BOM’s, and part routings.
- Provide formal quotations to customers.
- Review and analyze quotations for success and profitability.
- Create and organize part database into a logical framework of product descriptions.
- Complete and develop cost models for existing products lines.
- Other duties as assigned.

**SKILLS**
- Understanding of metal manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, welding etc.).
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings or sketches.
- Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work in as a team or individually.
- Self motivated and requires mínimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-changing work environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office 365 (Excel, Word and Outlook).

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant technical experience or knowledge, specifically in metal processing and fabrication.
- Previous experience with JobBoss2 considered an asset.
- Previous estimation experience considered an asset.
- Mechanical Engineering degree/diploma considered an asset.

**BENEFITS**

Westdale Machine provides a comprehensive compensation package. Total remuneration package includes a competitive hourly pay rate, an extensive medical and dental program, including life insurance, and a defined contribution pension plan with company matched contributions.
- Starting hourly wage for this role will be between $25-$30/hr commensurate of skills and experience.
- 5 weeks total paid time off.
- Flexible work hours to suit any schedule.
