Mini Kitchen is a local family owned business that has been operating in Edmonton, AB for over 10 years. We produce a wide variety of gourmet cooking sauces, appetizers and snacks.

**Position Summary**:
We are seeking a Food Prep Assistant to join our exceptionally talented Kitchen team and work in a high paced kitchen setting.

**Primary responsibilities**:

- Able to work with food in a sanitary manner, while following food safety procedures.
- Ensuring quality and high standard of food.
- Follow recipes and specifications.
- Clean the production kitchen, wipe sinks, sweep and mop.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
- Able to complete tasks quickly and able to think on your feet.
- Other duties as assigned

**Physical requirements**:

- This job sometimes leads to long hours.
- Must be able to stand for expended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up-to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to do repetitive tasks.

**Qualifications**
- Food Safety Training is an asset.
- Previous food handling in REQUIRED.
- Teamwork and team player
- High attention to detail
- Flexible hours, must be able to work AM or PM shifts and weekends when required.

P/T Permanent

Early morning shift: 6-11

Late morning shift: 10:30-3:30

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: $15.00-$16.50 per hour
