- SMH/DOVS-related activities. Experience and/or training in the management of uveitis, oncology, pediatrics, inherited retinal diseases, ophthalmic imaging, trauma and/or complex retinal surgery is an asset.

The SMH Department of Ophthalmology is a full academic ophthalmology unit that includes all ophthalmic sub-specialties with specific emphasis in vitreoretinal (VR) diseases and surgery. It is uniquely positioned as the vitreoretinal center within the university teaching hospitals and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The SMH VR group works closely with all the ophthalmic sub-specialties within the department and the university serving the patient population as well as interaction with the VR groups in the other teaching hospitals to provide regional/provincial VR care.
