Golden Concrete, part of the Terus Construction Ltd. group, is seeking a **Concrete Pump Operator **for its Golden operation. Terus Construction Ltd. is a leader in the construction industry in British Columbia and the Yukon.

The work is technical in the sense that the incombent has to handle complex concrete mixing and pumping machinery, while ensuring that all safety measures and precautions are taken into account. One has to be physically dexterous, with exceptional mechanical aptitude and the will and ability to work outdoors for long periods of time.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Must have good communication and ability to work with contractor and owner representative in a professional manner
- Good knowledge of concrete and concrete qualities.
- Willingness to work overtime as required
- Perform a variety of tasks or operate other equipment as needed or required when not pumping concrete
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure that concrete pumps are according to DOR regulations (checking brakes and fluid levels etc.)
- Drive concrete pump trucks to and from each project site in a punctual, safe and responsible manner
- Evaluate site conditions and work with contractors or supervisors to park / set up the truck properly
- Safely operate boom and concrete pump to place concrete in desired locations, placing special focus on provided instructions
- Load and unload concrete pump attachments and ensure that all associated tools are used in a safe manner
- Clean concrete pumps at the completion of each job at the end of the day to ensure that they remain in good working condition, and to minimize breakdowns and downtimes
- Ascertain that all safety and precautionary measures are put into place before, during and after each project
- Coordinate efforts with supervisors or contractors to ensure that owed payments are managed as soon as the work is finished

**Employment Requirements**:

- High school diploma or a GED
- Pass a MVR and a Drug Test
- Commercial driver’s license
- Knowledge and experience into operating concrete pumps
- Understanding and knowledge of concrete and the concrete industry
- Mechanically inclined.
