**Position: Campground Grounds Lead**
**Start Date**: May 1, 2025
**End Date**: September 30, 2025
**Employment Type**: Full-time, Seasonal
**Pay Rate**: Starting from $22.50 per hour (depending on experience)

**Job Summary**

Reporting to the General Manager, the Campground Grounds Lead plays a pivotal role in maintaining the campground's facilities, ensuring they remain in excellent condition for guests and staff. This position requires hands-on experience in maintenance, repairs, and small-scale construction, as well as the ability to coordinate and support improvement projects. The Grounds Lead will oversee the upkeep of buildings, electrical systems, plumbing, and machinery while fostering a safe and functional environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Maintenance and Repairs**:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on campground facilities, including water pumping & filtering facility, site facility, electricity, washrooms, showers, and common areas.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of the grounds, buildings, and infrastructure to identify and address maintenance needs.

**Machinery Operation and Maintenance**:

- Operate and maintain pick-up truck, side-by-side, tractor, excavator, lawn mower, etc
- Operate and maintain small tools, machinery, and equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and power tools.
- Ensure all equipment is properly serviced and in safe working condition.

**Grounds and Facility Upkeep**:

- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the campground, including landscaping, garbage removal, and groundskeeping.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of fire pits, picnic tables, and other guest-use facilities.
- Assist in preparing the campground for seasonal opening and closing.

**Small-Scale Construction and Improvements**:

- Lead small building projects, including the construction or repair of cabins, kiosks, and storage units.
- Collaborate with the management team on improvement projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Coordinate materials, tools, and timelines for efficient project completion.

**Project Coordination and Support**:

- Work closely with the General Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure maintenance and improvement projects align with campground goals.
- Provide input and expertise on infrastructure enhancements and future development plans.
- Supervise and coordinate with external contractors as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and construction (campground or hospitality experience is an asset).
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining tools and machinery.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in outdoor and rural environments.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work on uneven terrain.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.

**Schedule**:

- Full-time hours: 40 hours per week.
- Flexibility required to accommodate urgent maintenance needs and improvement projects.
