**ABOUT YOUR POTENTIAL NEW CAREER OPPORTUNITY**

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Automation Manager ensures
BellatRx remains current with the latest technological advancements by introducing and overseeing the implementation of new technologies, from robotics, co-bots, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, and by promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the electrical automation department. The electrical automation manager oversees the activities of an interdisciplinary team of electrical engineers, electrical drafters, automation engineers, automation developers, and automation integrators responsible for developing and implementing electrical, automation, and integration solutions for our packaging machines.

**HERE ARE WHAT YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD BE IF YOU JOINED THE TEAM**:
**1. In regards to electrical, automation, and integration activities**:

- Oversee the design and implementation of complete electrical controls for all equipment and products, including PLC, HMI, robotics programming, and electrical design.
- Assist and oversee troubleshooting efforts related to electrical and automation equipment and components, testing of equipment, and provide solutions when required.
- Evaluate the quality of electrical and automation solutions and propose improvements as required.
- Keeps informed of new methods, developments, and requirements affecting the organization and recommends new practices and technologies.
- Interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments, while ensuring that all automation projects and solutions are delivered on time.
- Plans, schedules, or coordinates the preparation of documents or activities for multiple major projects.
- Reviews operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures.
- Evaluate machine functioning and propose improvements as required.

**2. In regards to Managerial activities**:

- Set clear goals and expectations for the department in alignment with BellatRx’s strategic objectives.
- Assign, monitor, and evaluate the responsibilities, duties, and job performance of department employees.
- Train assigned staff with respects to BellatRx’s electrical, automation, and integration processes and standards.
- Maintain high-levels of intra-departmental motivation and engagement by mentoring, coaching, supporting, and providing regular feedback to staff.
- Organize and manage team training programs or continuous improvement initiatives to ensure up to date knowledge, skills, and abilities of department.
- Leads project meetings and makes presentations. Represents the organization and maintains liaison with individuals and related organizations.
- Implement and manage team training and development programs.

**COULD YOU BE OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE? HERE’S A GLIMPSE OF WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Automation, Robotics or Mechatronics Engineering (minimum)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an engineering position (preferably electrical or automation)
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a as a team leader or managerial role.
- Able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Bilingual (English and French)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
