**The Opportunity**:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of **Gas Bar Attendant, **at our Gas Bar located at 850 Dakota Street, in **Winnipeg, Manitoba**. This position reports to the Gas Bar Manager.

Essential responsibilities of the Gas Bar Attendant and include the following:

- Be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve.
- Deliver world-class customer service that is fast, friendly and efficient.
- Educate customers and staff on the benefits of membership in Red River Co-op and encourage them to join.
- Ensure the C-store is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
- Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.
- Receive fuel deliveries in accordance with established Co-op procedures.
- Run fuel pumps and fill fuel tanks of vehicles with gasoline or diesel fuel to particular levels.
- Assist customers with propane filling and exchanges.
- Wash windshields and check fluid levels.
- Grease and oil vehicles or particular parts of automobiles.
- Operate a cash register, take payment from customers and provide change.
- Follow all legal requirements regarding the sale of lottery and tobacco products.
- Confirm pump and sign price accuracy and promptly change pricing upon request from Gas Bar Manager.
- Present a neat, clean, well-merchandised department and related work areas (including the C-store, car wash bay, fuelling area, parking lot, and washrooms).
- Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure department image and safety standards are followed. Ensure sanitation and cleanliness standards are to Co-op specifications, including cleaning of all equipment and display cases.
- Observe safety measures and report hazardous conditions immediately to the Gas Bar Manager.
- Assist in the proper care and maintenance of all department equipment.
- Follow safe front-line loss prevention practices, and maintain a constant alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise or fuel from the site.
- Perform other duties as assigned

We have two openings available. We require someone who would like to work 5:30am to 2:00pm and another for 8:00am-5:00pm. Must have open availability.
