The Alberta Medical Association (AMA) is recruiting for the temporary role of **Administrator** to support our Zone Medical Staff Associations (ZMSAs) within our Governance branch. This is a temporary role till December 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension.
**Zone Medical Staff Associations**
The ZMSAs are within the Governance branch which is accountable for the processes, controls, records and communications related to the Association’s registration, constitution, bylaws, elections and governance bodies.
The ZMSAs provide a variety of supports to zone physicians and fulfill the obligations for the medical staff outlined in the provincial medical staff bylaws.

Position Overview
As the Administrator, ZMSAs you will be responsible for the provision of coordination and administrative support to Zone Medical Staff Associations (currently Calgary, Central, North and South zones) and their subsidiary MSAs. Your key responsibilities in this role will include but not limited to the following:
- Oversee subsidiary MSA governance and operational priorities, from development through implementation, including administration of all day-to-day activities.
- Provide support to, or lead implementation of assigned initiatives and/or projects including, recording the proceedings and outcomes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and managing the work and communications and providing updates to leadership.
- Provide support for executive and committee meetings, including planning, preparing and coordinating agendas and required documentation. Preparing minutes that record outcomes, action items and ensuring completion.
- Coordinate events and oversee all logistics including, venue research and selection, registration, communications, registration management and on-site/virtual event support.
- Provide support for governance responsibilities including, records management, compliance processes, membership and financial reporting.
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders (e.g., AMA departments, members, AHS staff and leadership).
- Other duties as required to support the priorities and initiatives of the ZMSAs and subsidiary MSAs.
**Other Information**
- This position requires some evening and weekend hours and travel to on-site meetings within Calgary.
- Travel outside of Calgary may be required (approx. 2 times/year) to support in-person meetings and events.
Education and Experience
- Two-year post-secondary diploma.
- Two years of administrative experience.
- Experience supporting committees or boards including coordination of meetings, taking minutes, and tracking action items is essential for this role.
- Experience planning large meetings (AGMs, etc.) and events (awards, etc.).
- Experience working with Office 365; including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams is required.

**Who are we?**
**To apply**:
The salary for this role will be between $57,936 and $70,549 per annum.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months
Pay: $57,936.00-$70,549.00 per year
