**Description**:

We’re currently searching for an experienced Technical Project Manager I (TPM I) to join our team to contribute to this tradition of success. MDL is the contracted service provider to Fraser Health Authority’s Technical Infrastructure Projects Team (TIP Team) and this position is responsible for the management of all aspects of the IT Infrastructure technical components on that team’s projects.
Setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities/tasks, managing budget, monitoring, summarizing, and reporting on progress, the TPM I builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. They prepare reports for management regarding status of project are familiar with a variety of field's concepts, practices, and procedures and performs a variety of project management tasks. The TPM I leads and directs the work of others, with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
**Experience**:
In the IT Infrastructure field or in a related field of Computer Science, Communications Distribution Design, Technology Construction, etc;
- A Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience; or
- A Diploma and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience; or
- A Certificate in and a minimum of four (4) years of related experience; or
- An absolute minimum of six (6) years of directly related experience.
**An industry certification** in Project Management (PMP, PgMP, PfMP, etc) or equivalent experience is required.
A strong understanding of IT Infrastructure as well as construction management principles and construction industry awareness.
An adaptable, proven track record of project/program/portfolio delivery using a variety of approaches (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and workstyles to achieve successful performance.
Demonstrates, exemplary technical aptitude and experience in a variety of IM/IT disciplines enhancing project delivery and value for the client.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and common project management toolsets (SharePoint, MS Project, Primavera, Procore, etc).
Must have a **car and valid driver’s license**, regular travel is required.
**Responsibilities**:
Working with the Facilities Management Project Managers, IM/IS Portfolio Manager, Technology Services Resources, Service Providers, Vendors and/or Client Management on behalf of Lower Mainland Health Authority owned and leased locations; the Technical Project Manager I is responsible and accountable for provisioning IT Infrastructure Technical Project Management services for construction and/or renovation projects requiring Intermediate level experience and skill. This includes, but is not limited to;
1. Working during project Conceptual and Strategic Planning stages, defining the estimated technical services Scope of Work. This includes, but is not limited to;
- IT desktop devices; phones, computers, printers, fax lines, etc
- IPS (Integrated Protection Services) and/or Vendor for CCTV Cameras, Access Control and Intrusion Alarm
- FM&O and/or Vendor for BAS, HVAC and elevator equipment
- BioMed and/or Vendor for medical equipment
- e. Medical and/or Vendor Imaging for medical equipment
- LIS (Lab Information Systems) and/or Vendor for lab equipment
- Other support vendors for other equipment
- Assessing LAN, Wireless LAN and WAN equipment (wall space, rack space, risers, power, grounding, etc)
- Assessing Communications Closet(s) equipment (rack, BIX wall, UPS, data switches, PBX, risers, power, grounding, etc)
2. If a set of schematic design drawings do not exist, drawing a rough sketch of the project area and detailing the technical requirements
3. Obtaining a BCCSS Service Delivery Proposal to ensure the technical Scope of Work is accurately captured and quoted for the project’s budget (through the PRF process) and that the proposal is approved and funded
4. Working during project Detail Design Planning stages, ensuring technical Scope of Work is detailed and that all drawings and specifications generated by the project are in line with the technical Scope of Work
5. Working during project Construction, ensuring the technical Scope of Work is built to plan
6. Ensuring the technical Scope of Work equipment and services are ordered, installed and commissioned to plan
7. Ensuring all deficiencies are addressed
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $34.26-$45.85 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
