This Position reports to:
Drives & Motors Service Operations Mgr
Your Role: Own the Challenge
- ** Repair & Maintenance**: Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on low voltage drives, both in the workshop and occasionally at customer sites.
- ** Customer Communication**: Provide clear explanations of repair needs, procedures, and cost estimates; maintain strong customer relationships and identify potential sales opportunities.
- ** Cost Estimation & Documentation**: Prepare accurate repair estimates and maintain detailed records of all service activities, including customer-signed reports.
- ** Compliance & Safety**: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies; report unsafe practices.
- ** Troubleshooting**: Analyze equipment failures and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.
- ** Operational Support**: Coordinate materials and parts for service tasks; contribute to operational improvements and customer service enhancements.
- ** Team Collaboration**: Work independently or as part of a team; may guide other technicians on projects.
- ** Business Awareness**: Operate within a P&L-driven environment, balancing customer satisfaction with profitability
What it takes to Run what runs the world
- Technical diploma or certification in electronics or a related electro-technical field preferred, along with relevant certifications in low voltage systems or electronics.
- Proven experience in repairing and maintaining low voltage drives or similar equipment, with prior experience in customer-facing or field service roles.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities, proficiency with repair tools and equipment, and the ability to write reports and communicate technical information effectively in English.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 35 lbs (15 kg), work in various environments, and travel occasionally to local customer sites as needed.
