The educational outreach intern will assist full time staff to help organize training events, in person outreach with seniors and Indigenous elders. They will also coordinate digital outreach via our streaming platform, ResearchTV and interactive websites such as RosiesoftheNorth.ca and ReelMemories.ca. The intern will learn how to edit digital media content and develop interactive websites. They will develop writing for communications, graphic design, and media arts skills.
- Help coordinate in person outreach activities
- Help coordinate online events such as Spotlight on Academics Film Festival
- Learn to create accessible and interactive websites, and learn to maintain them
- Help coordinate and participate in training workshops
- Use Adobe suite to create educational content, graphics, and media
- Help manage ResearchTV.ca, our online peer-reviewed digital streaming platform
- Assist with the creation of newsletters and social media content

**Education**: A recent university degree from Social Sciences and Humanities or a college diploma in Media Production. Strong writing skills and a knowledge and interest in digital media production is essential. The intern will demonstrate a proficiency with editing software such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and basic website construction.
