Annual salary: $ 127,900.00 - 161,800.00

**Position Highlights**
**We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Planning Team Lead to join our team. The successful
projects within our Project Delivery group.

This role is based in the Construction Planning, Practice, and Controls group within our Capital Construction business unit.
You will collaborate with stakeholders and leaders across BC Hydro to meet our business objectives, corporate standards,
and policies.

**What you'll do**
- The duties and responsibilities of this role include:

- Manage the hiring, training, and performance of employees and provide leadership in fostering a positive, productive, and

healthy working environment.
- This role must identify, motivate, and procure experienced workers on a temporary basis to support the Construction

Planning department within the confines of the BCH business rules and culture.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of industry best practices and market conditions through research, training, and networking

to ensure BC Hydro is at the forefront.
- Actively participate in construction planning and procurement activities for complex, high-risk contracts.
- Proactively identify construction planning needs on projects and develop resource plans to support these needs.
- Support the department manager with strategic planning and development of the construction planning team.
- Collaborate with our Construction and Contract Management (CCM) Practice team to provide continuous improvement of

our construction management practices and procedures.
- Develop and deliver training to Capital Construction and business partners throughout the province on how to use CCM

best practices.
- Represent Construction and Contract Management on business initiatives in various working groups.
- Ability to travel to construction sites both within and outside the region infrequently.

**What you bring**
- 10+ years of progressively more complex experience performing construction and contract management, construction

planning, claim management, project management, construction quality management, and procurement on large
infrastructure projects.
- University degree or technical diploma in engineering, construction management or a related discipline.

expert experience in construction and operations/maintenance is demonstrated.
- On-site experience with major infrastructure projects or projects within an electric utility.
- Experience in leading and managing a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor the message to wide range of audiences.
- Demonstrated knowledge in industry construction methods and procedures.
- Demonstrated abilities in relationship building and influencing internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated organization, project planning, and people management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong analysis and risk assessment skills.
- Project, construction, and contract management experience from both the project owner and contractor is an asset.
