SLC Management offers a mix of in-office and virtual work where our employees are empowered to do their best. Generally, employees are expected to work three or more days in-office each week with flexibility depending on their business, client and team needs.

Hybrid: This role will be a combination of working from home and in the office and is based out of our Waterloo King or Toronto One York office

Reporting to the Senior Associate, Finance Data Analytics & Insight, the SLC Financial Data Analyst Co-op will work within SLC Finance Data Analytics and support with monthly and quarterly data and reporting, projects, and other ad-hoc activities. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with and support members of the Finance Data Analytics team and other SLC Finance employees, while gaining valuable financial data and reporting experience.

**What will you do?**

Data Operations
- Assist in loading financial data from internal and external sources.
- Perform data quality checks and validation routines.

Reporting & Visualization
- Support the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards used by Finance and Executive Teams.
- Participate in dashboard refresh cycles and ensure visual consistency.

Finance Collaboration
- Work with Finance stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and financial concepts such as inflows, outflows, capital deployment.
- Assist in preparing data for quarterly updates, capital raising summaries, and other finance-driven initiatives.

Team Engagement
- Join team meetings, and project check-ins.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing within the team.

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Currently enrolled in third or fourth year of a Finance or Computer Science program from an accredited University; previous work or co-op experience is strongly preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel).
- Experience with Power BI and cloud-based tools is an asset.
- Experience with Power Query automation is an asset.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with demonstrated attention to accuracy and detail.
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and adaptable with the ability to manage conflicting priorities independently.
