Blind Channel Resort requires a baker for the remainder of the current summer season. A top destination for boaters, Blind Channel is located on West Thurlow Island, about 50 Km north of Campbell River, in the heart of BC’s beautiful Inside Passage. The resort is relatively remote--accessible only by boat or float plane.
Our restaurant, the Cedar Post Inn, is a German-influenced, casual fine-dining restaurant. The seating capacity is about 65, but typically we serve 30-50 people in peak season. Also part of the restaurant is a patio with a barbecue shack overlooking the marina. We are open for lunch and dinner, and also sell baked goods in our store.
We are looking for someone who is:

- energetic, with lots of stamina
- positive
- a good communicator
- versatile
- able to work independently
Foodsafe certification is a must. Several years’ experience in quality baking would be most desirable.
Blind Channel offers a unique experience for all our staff and often a summer here is the start of life-long friendships. Because of the remote location, this is a live-in job; accommodations with a private room are provided on site as well as meals in the kitchen while on shift.
