Network Security Administrator

Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 35 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.
The Role: Reporting to the Manager Technical Analyst, the Network Security Administrator is responsible for deploying, configuring, maintaining and monitoring all network activities and equipment in achieving a secure, reliable, efficient and effective network infrastructure.
- Major Responsibilities: Maintain network infrastructure and network equipment efficiency and reliability, security and integrity
- Assist in Planning, designing and developing the company computer networks and systems
- Install, configure, manage and maintain computer networks and systems
- Monitor and improve computer networks and systems performance
- Identify and resolve computer network and systems issues
- Develop and document network standards, procedures and specifications
- Perform any other duties assigned by the superior(s)
- Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: A bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related disciplines
- Possess 3 years or more experience in network security and administration
- Possess advanced knowledge in IP networking, routing, switching is mandatory
- Experience in designing, deploying and maintaining LAN/WAN/WLAN/VLAN and key network services
- Experience in managing MS Windows and Linux based systems
- Experience in managing wireless, VoIP would be an asset
- Demonstrate good analytical & fault-finding skills; service oriented and good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and responsiveness in completing tasks
- Shift rotation and out of office support will be required in the position
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English
- Able to communicate in Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin) is an asset
