Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 31 stores across the country: 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 10 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.
The Role: Reporting to the Senior IT Manager, Technology Enablement, the Information Security Administrator is responsible for safeguarding computer systems, networks and information, and promoting security best practices and awareness.
- Major Responsibilities: Implement information security measures and controls
- Monitor, detect and resolve computer systems and networks related security issues
- Perform risk assessment before systems go live and conduct periodic security check on live systems
- Manage security management tools including SIEM and intrusion detection and prevention systems
- Remediate and patch vulnerable systems
- Promote information security best practices and awareness
- Investigate information security events and alerts, and respond to security breaches
- Stay up-to-date on information security standards, published vulnerabilities and remediation
- Perform any other duties assigned by the superior(s)
- Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Possess 2 years or more experience in information security or related field
- Possess advanced system and scripting knowledge in MS Windows and Linux based systems
- Experience in security management tools including IPS, IDS, DLP, SIEM, etc is an advantage
- Possess active security related certification, e.g. CISSP would be an asset
- Analytical & fault-finding skills
- Service oriented and good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and responsiveness in completing tasks
- Out of office support will be required
