Applied Industrial Technologies LP is an extensive network of industrial distribution facilities located throughout Canada. We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Electronic Control Specialist. The role will be based out of our any of our Western Canada AIT locations.

**Accountabilities**:

- Take ownership of the development of solutions from concept to completion
- Collaborate with teams across the organization, as well as vendors, to develop and deliver solutions to customers
- Create/ manage technical documents and files
- Provide support and expertise during project commissioning and aftermarket
- Provide internal and external consultation on projects
- Stay up to date on the latest technologies while looking for opportunities to enhance Applied’s product and service offerings
- Other tasks as required

**Requirements and competencies**:

- Mechanical Aptitude (P. ENG or CET in relevant discipline preferred)
- 5+ years programming PLC’s
- Extensive knowledge in programming (CoDeSys, C, C++ & CANBus)
- Understanding of electrical integration in relevant technologies would be an asset
- Demonstrated ability to lead and follow complex projects with many stakeholders involved
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical systems & programming locally & remotely
- Driven by team results
- Innovative mindset
- Strong communication & presentation skills
- Ability to manage time and be agile on requests
- Willingness and ability to travel
