**Berwick Royal Oak **in Victoria, BC is seeking a dependable and flexible employee as an Evening Concierge, who is able to work in a team environment, is self-motivated, and has the ability to work well with seniors.

**Job Summary**:
Provides reception, switchboard and general office duties and maintains efficient operations of the front office. Carries out duties in an efficient, friendly and courteous manner and demonstrates a respectful and caring approach to Berwick residents and staff. Manages all resident, staff and company information in a confidential manner and in accordance with the freedom of information and protection of privacy act. Provides Emergency Response for the building and its occupants and conducts regular security rounds. Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations at all times..

**Emergency Response Duties**:
The Evening Concierge responds to all emergency calls from residents and assesses the need for medical assistance when necessary. Also maintains responsibility for building security by handling building emergencies and conducting security rounds.

**Skills/Personal Competencies**:

- A high level of skill and accuracy with data entry functions and reconciliation
- Demonstrates a commitment to providing the highest quality of customer service and hospitality
- Sound judgment, the ability to remain calm and act quickly in an emergency situation
- Strong and adept communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality as required
- Friendly and professional demeanor in person and over the telephone
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines
- Flexibility and adaptability to change while dealing with constant interruptions
- Ability to work independently but understands the team aspect of shift exchange, communication and 24/7 operations

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2 years recent related experience in an administrative capacity
- Experienced and proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Valid Emergency Level 1 First Aid Certificate & CPR Required
- WHMIS

**Schedule**:

- Casual - As Needed. Shifts are 8:00am to 4:00pm, 4:00pm to 12:00am & 12:00am to 8:00am

**Pay**:
Pay starts at $20.20 per hour, plus $1.00 evening shift differential per hour. in addition is $2.20 per hour Provincial Wage Levelling top-up.

Note: *A criminal record check is required pursuant to the Criminal Records Review Act for working with vulnerable adults. TB test and proof of Covid-19 Vaccination also required.*
