We are looking to hire a Plant Operator for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Moncton, NB. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.

**What will your job involve?**:

- Receiving and processing of the various waste streams.
- Scans waste into Route Optics for proper record keeping purposes.
- Maintains the boiler and the autoclave functions to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
- Ensures that all waste is properly processed and/or stored in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Ensures an adequate supply of clean reusable bins and totes are readily available for logistics purposes.
- Washes and ensures quality control of all reusable bins and totes.
- Ensures housekeeping issues, e.g., spills cleaned up, floor is dry, and debris not on floor, etc., are addressed immediately.
- Performs additional duties and assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed by Operations Supervisor

**What are we looking for?**:

- Someone with a can-do attitude who is committed to efficient, timely scheduling that has previous experience in a labor-intensive job. A person with proven longevity with their employers that we can rely on.
- Occasionally lifting, pushing pulling weights of sixty pounds or more
- Class 5 License with Air Brakes (Pref in driving a straight truck)
- Minimum of 12 months verifiable, related behind the wheel driving experience (within last 36 months);
- Clean CVOR and Driver’s Abstract (dated within last 30 days);
- Ability to pass all pre-employment requirements, such as reference check, background check, pre-employment medical test and a driver's road test or equivalent;
- Ability and knowledge to safely load and properly block, brace, and secure materials;
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role
