Our students are eager to return to in person learning, but we need more teachers.

Currently we have an opening for a part-time in person instructor for some weekday evenings and/or Saturdays. These classes will focus on novel study, vocabulary, grammar, and writing techniques. Classes meet once per week usually for 2 hours.

**Teacher's responsibilities**
- Prepare for class by being familiar with the materials
- Engage students to provide the best environment for learning
- Provide a written report to staff/parents after each class (we have a form)
- Marking and evaluating students' work providing feedback and encouragement
- Maintain professional standards

**Typical Class**

Elite classes are small with a typical class of 4-6 students and a large class is 8 students. This allows teachers to give individual attention to students. Most classes are 2 hours long with a short break at the 1-hour mark. Private tutoring is also available.

**Materials**

Elite produces its own materials in house and provides teachers with materials and guidance.

**Hours**

Our schedule shifts depending whether students are in school or on holidays

**School year** schedule: Mon-Fri 4 pm-8:30 pm

Saturdays 9 am-5:30 pm

**Summer and Holiday** schedule: Mon-Fri 9 am-6 pm

**Qualifications**

All of our teachers must have a minimum of a completed Bachelor’s Degree, but preference is given to teachers with 3 or more years of experience, overseas teaching experience or Master’s Degree.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8 per week

**Salary**: $27.00-$35.00 per hour

- Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
Staff, students, and parents are wearing masks and sanitizing. We have testing available and are in constant communication with families to ensure potentially ill students are not coming to class.
