**The Opportunity**

The Custodial Worker I performs a variety of cleaning and minor maintenance tasks in an assigned building or building area. This includes office cleaning, as well as cleaning of the cell block area and will involve both indoor and outdoor working environments. This position requires repeated heavy physical demands, including but not limited to long periods of standing and climbing stairs.

**Responsibilities**

You will be responsible for the cleaning and light maintenance of a very busy policing facility. You will be working with a variety of people; RCMP members, municipal employees, public servants and other stakeholders involved in protective services.

You will come in contact with individuals and experience situations unique to working in a policing environment. The job demands your attention to detail and a very high level of discretion.

**Hours**

The standard workweek consists of an average of 40 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.

**Compensation**

The starting Salary for Custodial Worker I is $ 30.86 per hour.
