**The Opportunity**

Bonnetts Energy Centre is looking for energetic, outgoing, and hardworking people to join our team. A Bonnetts Energy Centre Operations worker provides ongoing guest and client services to all users of a multi-purpose facility including duties required for delivery of multiple events. Monitors operation of the physical plant including HVAC and refrigeration systems. Performs general maintenance, janitorial and repair duties. Operates and maintains multiple pieces of equipment as well as the installation and maintenance of an ice surface.

**Responsibilities**
- Provides ongoing and exceptional guest and client service to all users of a multi-purpose facility, including duties required for the delivery of multiple events.
- Performs general maintenance, janitorial and repair duties.
- Monitors operation of the physical plant including HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Operates and maintains equipment required for the performance of duties including forklift, ice re-surfacing, snow clearing and related equipment.
- Installs, removes and maintains ice surfaces.

**You Bring**
- General knowledge of Bonnetts Energy Centre assets, and systems
- Familiarization with the functionality and systems within the various building zones such as HVAC system, breaker controls, and general building operations
- Minimum of Arena Operator Level I Certification; Level II preferred
- Valid certifications for the operation of equipment such as forklifts; Zamboni, floor cleaning machines, and city vehicles
- Valid Alberta Driver's License (Class 5 minimum)
- Must have a minimum of 2 years' current experience in a multi-purpose event facility hosting large-scale events such as:

- Concerts of local, national and international talent
- Monster Truck shows; Motorcycle Rallies and Exhibitions
- Trade and product fairs such as vehicle, leisure, bridal and wellness events
- Graduations; community celebrations; City events
- Local, national and international ice-associated sports and Tournaments
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Quick decision-making ability
- Ability to perform repeated heavy physical demands for long periods of time often within a time-sensitive schedule including:

- Assembling and removing ice coverings
- Lifting and assembling various venue requirements including glass, poles, dasher boards, chairs and staging pieces
- Operating a forklift for the movement and placement of venue requirements
- Lifting and carrying supplies
- Ability to endure long periods of standing
- Ability to repeatedly climb stairs often while carrying and placing heavy objects
- Physical ability to perform prolonged manual work
- Ability to work shift work including late nights during events
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to operate a computer and knowledge of common computer Office programs
- May be asked to provide medical information pertaining to job responsibilities

**Compensation**

$35.12 per hour as per the Collective Agreement
