Reporting to the Manager, Finance & Administration, the **Accounting Supervisor** has the direct responsibility to manage the local accounting and financial reporting functions for the Western IntermodeX group. This includes ensuring the timely and accurate submission of month end financial reports as well as preparation of various internal reports for the various stakeholders of the organization. In addition, the Accounting Supervisor will provide oversight for the day-to-day accounting functions within the Finance group.

**A day in the life**:

- Assists the Finance Manager with development and timely reporting of financial and operational KPI’s, variance reports, DSO reports and costing models
- Assists in uncovering and investigating variances and financial discrepancies
- Develops, implements and manages the credit function including review and reconciliation of all cash receipts, timely collection of accounts receivable, and immediately identifies & escalates high risk accounts
- Oversees the work of finance team and provides accounting guidance where needed
- Prepares and submits month-end accounting reports to head office as well as provides support to external auditors during year-end audit
- Review, document and maintain current accounting functions and processes to ensure current policies and procedures are aligned with operational plans
- Assists in special projects, as required
- Provide backup for Payroll Administration
- Other duties as required

You have:

- 3-5 years experience working in cost accounting, financial modeling and forecasting
- Advanced skills in Excel including pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
- Collaborative work ethic with excellent analytical skills and proven ability to deliver within tight timelines
- Strong leadership skills with excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in response to changing work environment and business demands
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
