**ABOUT THE ROLE**

York Region is embarking on a digital transformation journey to help ensure our practices, systems, decisions and technology always put the customer first - whether it’s a resident, business owner, visitor or employee. We’re bringing all our digital functions together at a corporate level, and we’re looking for an experienced leader to help us carry out our vision. Reporting to the Commissioner of Corporate Services, you’ll be responsible for establishing and owning the execution of the digital transformation and customer experience strategy that aligns with our vision and growth plans. You’ll set, manage and realize the Region’s digital and customer vision as you oversee and evolve critical IT Services (ITS) and Data, Analytics and Visualization Services (DAVS) teams, build new Digital and Customer Experience teams, integrate key digital capabilities, uphold digital service standards, oversee digital governance and ensure a positive and cost-effective digital and customer experience for both internal stakeholders and the communities we serve.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**
- Provides ongoing overall direction, goal, and strategy setting, development of objectives, policies, procedures, governance, and continuous improvement for all digital and customer experience across York Region.
- Develops and monitors annual capital and/or operating budgets for the Branch.
- Develops and implements a comprehensive digital and customer strategy aligned with the Region’s Strategic Plan, making progress visible in achieving key outcomes for the Region.
- Provides strategic leadership, oversees digital transformation initiatives, and allocates resources from the ITS, DAVS, Digital, and Customer Experience teams.
- Measures ROI for digital initiatives, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure that the organization is investing in the appropriate tools and resources.
- Ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT services, integrating enterprise architecture principles.
- Ensures adherence to all legislative requirements governing or pertinent to the delivery of programs.
- Drives product development and delivery and service design to enhance internal processes, services, and employee engagement and ensures adherence to the Region’s policies, guidelines and bylaws.
- Develops effective and innovative program delivery methodologies to meet Regional service requirements and manages process improvements and special projects.
- Collaborates with departments to gather feedback and insights for service improvement and digital transformation ambitions.
