Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist Job Opportunity in Edmonton, AB at Lakeview Animal Hospital

We are offering a exciting opportunity for a part time, with the future potential of full-time, receptionist to join our team. We are a full-service Veterinary Hospital, located in Southside Edmonton. We are looking to hire someone who's main focus is providing exceptional care to join our team of energetic and hard-working individuals.

Primary responsibilities include:

- Providing excellent service to our clients and their pets
- Ability to answer a multi-line phone system as well as track and book appointments effectively
- Invoicing/billing; obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
- Ensuring cleanliness of the reception area, pet holding areas and common areas
- Ensuring treatment areas are clean, disinfected and restocked
- Willingness to learn veterinary terminology and the ability to use it when appropriate

**Job Types**: Part-Time with the opportunity to move to full-time

Schedule for Part time:

- 4 hour shift (could change)
- Must have open availability Monday to Saturday evenings

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred but not required as training will be offered )
- Veterinary Receptionist: 1 year (preferred but not required as training will be offered)
- Customer Service: 1 year (preferred but not required as training will be offered)

Experience with handling animals is preferred

- Laboratory experience is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
