**Production Supervisor**

**Purpose of the Job**:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the management of departmental productivity, shop production, the coaching and development of the Production staff, and compliance with company OH&S policies.

**Duties and Essential Job Functions**:

- Achieve manufacturing targets by planning, communicating job expectations, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Responsible for the coaching, counseling, and development of employees
- Responsible for enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
- Accountable for monitoring employee performances, and working through Performance Improvement Programs when necessary
- Maintain work flow by monitoring process steps; setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, implementing cost reductions when possible, and facilitating corrections to process malfunctions
- Maintain quality internal and external customer service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards
- Provide manufacturing information by compiling, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data
- Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping, and implementing changes when needed
- Develop and implement continuous improvement with employee performance through regular feedback, coaching, and training
- Ensure work environment is kept clean and safe by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources
- Maintain compliance with established 5S policies and procedures
- Work in accordance with all legislation and company policy requirements pertaining to employee safety, health and wellness
- Direct departmental improvement activities and morning toolbox meetings
- Other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years’ related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 5 years’ previous supervisory experience is required

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within an electronics manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of test and testing tools
- Previous experience with Syteline or a similar MRP system is required
- Working knowledge of tools such as MS Word, MS-Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
- Organized self-starter with proven time management skills
- Experience with soldering and soldering IPC standards.
- Team player possessing the drive and determination to make a difference; balanced with the skill, patience and tactfulness to accomplish projects in a harmonious manner
- Ability to work well independently or as part of a group
- Work closely with personnel in all departments to accomplish division goals

**Work Environment**:

- Well lit manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand for significant periods of time on a hard concrete floor
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $55,000.00 per year
