Birnie Electric is an established electrical contractor operating in the Greater Toronto Area for more than 50 years. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Apprentices that want to transition into an office role as our Jr. Electrical Project Coordinator.

This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in project management while working on electrical ICI construction projects. The Jr. Electrical Project Coordinator will assist in coordinating various aspects of projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within scope.

To be successful in this role, you must be:

- Organized, proactive, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Able to communicate with clients and team members clearly and effectively.
- Knowledgeable in the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, electrical systems, and construction practices.
- Assist with administrative and clerical duties and support site manager and project manager.
- Assist in tracking, monitoring, and analyzing productivity data where applicable.
- Perform labour tracking duties to support project management and payroll.
- Assist in scheduling, site coordination and commissioning efforts.
- Coordinate as-built drawing requests from field staff, project manager with office and outside resources.
- Attend project site meetings and site walkthroughs
- Process and review shop drawings documentation.
- Process requests for information (RFI)
- Assist in reviewing quotes and issuing purchase orders with PM approval.
- Assist in tracking deliveries and scheduling.
- Answer site-specific questions for the project.
- Assist PM to ensure all safety requirements are met.
- Undertake pre-subcontractor qualifications.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Previous electrical experience in the field as an apprentice.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and access to a personal vehicle to travel to site.
- _NOTE: Site locations will be within the Greater Toronto Area._
- Valid Working at Heights certification is an asset.
