**Primary responsibilities**:

- Under the direction of the Manager, Membership Administration, the incumbent oversees all aspects of the Membership Administration Section. The job functions include coordinating, administrating, leading, planning, implementing and evaluating the Section in order to meet the requirements and needs of the organization pertaining to membership administration.
The position oversees dues accounting, including the collection and distribution of over $140M per year as well as dues adjustments, including the calculation of refunds and arrears recovery and the adherence to PSAC policies.

**What you will bring to the table**:
**_Education/Experience_**:

- minimum of five years related work experience;
- B.A. in Business Administration or a related degree.

**_Knowledge_**:

- knowledge of collective agreements and how to interpret the information (i.e., general principles, fee structures, etc.);
- experience as a supervisor, providing direction, training and coaching;
- excellent project management and team building skills;
- demonstrated experience in project management, as well as the ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately;
- computer skills and proficiency with UnionWare, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook (GroupWise) and Internet, as well as ability to manage database systems and to create reports;
- knowledge and commitment of trade union and equity principles and an understanding of the sensitive political and social issues between a union employer and its internal bargaining agents.

- ability to communicate orally and in writing in English and French
- ability to be a leader, to motivate staff and to develop and maintain a teamwork environment;
- ability to forge consensus and cooperation between different personalities and work styles;
- ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities;

**What you need to know**:

- Second language skills as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) level indicated above. Federal Government valid SLE results can be used toward this.
- Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.
