As our new Project Controller, you will support the Program Management Office (PMO) in developing and maintaining project plans. The Project Controller's main function is to assist the Technical Project Managers (TPMs) with project progress and performance, project financials and schedule, analysis, reporting milestones and data deliverables. The Project Controller will also generate complex reports for performance and financial management. **Duties and Responsibilities**: - Assist with project estimates, reviews, change controls, scope changes and costing - Develop and maintain detailed work plans, including schedules, milestones, resource allocation, and essential project documents - Monitor the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets - Prepare and present reports for Program Management Office - Perform risk review and support risk mitigation plan creation - Liaise with the Head of Programmes on a day-to-day basis, advising of any impending challenges which could impact project plans - Perform post-implementation project audits to measure project success - Assist in development of various proposals including scoping, scheduling, and pricing - Support quality audits of PMO policies - Functional appointment as Alternate Company Security Officer (A-CSO) supporting Contract Security, Export Compliance and Controlled Goods Programme. **Qualifications and Experience**: - Bachelor's degree, post-secondary diploma in business, finance, engineering or equivalent; - At least 3+ years of experience in project controls management, specializing in project and program planning/scheduling - Comprehensive understanding and practical skills in the development and management of Work Breakdown Structure, Cost Breakdown Structure, schedule and cost baselines, earned value analysis, risk management, and change management processes - Strong working knowledge of project management tools, ideally Microsoft Project and Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) - Excellent Excel experience (pivot tables, x-lookup) and comfortable with data analysis of larger datasets - Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a project environment **Security Clearance**: If you are unfamiliar with the process, you can find information about Security Clearance requests process on the Government of Canada website (search for "Security Clearance Request Process"). **In general, to obtain these clearances, you**: - Must be either a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada; - Must have lived in Canada continuously for the past 10 years; - Must not have a criminal record. **Good to know**: - Group benefits are 100% Company-Paid from the first day on the job (including dependents) - Group Health, Dental, Vision, Employee Assistance Plan (LifeWorks), Out-of-Province travel, E-A-P Industry-leading Vacation entitlements - Generous Paid Personal Leave & additional Company Holidays - Dynamic Flex-time policy - Remote & Office work flexibility - Annual Incentive bonus programme - Exceptional Employee Referral programme - Professional Development and Credentialing support - internal (Coursera) and external opportunities - Exceptional professional environment: you'll join a team of some of the best talent in the business ()
