**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be assisting our RVTs and DVMs with patient care, manage clinic maintenance and assisting our CCR team with client relations. Your ability to multitask and communicate effectively will be essential in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our clients and their pets.

**Shifts are for evenings and Saturdays mostly.**

**Duties**
As a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist, your responsibilities will include:

- Greeting clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism.
- Assisting DVMs and RVTs with patient care (including but not limited to nail trims, anal gland expressions, patient handling, radiology and surgical assistance).
- Clinic maintenance and housekeeping.
- Assisting veterinary staff with laboratory tasks as needed, leveraging any laboratory experience you may have.
- Scheduling appointments.
- Answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and providing information about services offered.
- Processing patient records and maintaining accurate files for all animals.
- Handling billing, payments, and insurance claims with attention to detail.
- Collaborating with team members to provide the best care for our patients.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- A passion for animal care and welfare, demonstrating empathy towards both pets and their owners.
- Passion for organization and cleanliness is a plus
