**Job Overview**

At Maverick’s Donut Company, we are very eager to provide our customers with a memorable experience through outstanding customer service. As a Donut Decorator, you'll be responsible for all duties related to creating and decorating our donuts. You'll use your artistic talents to ensure that every detail is just right. As a Decorator, you'll play a critical role in upholding our differentiators by providing outstanding service and delicious treats to our customers that meet our quality standards. You will report to the store owner/manager and be expected to follow directions and execute them in a fast-paced, high
- energy environment. Every now and again, you will be required to offer our guests friendly customer service and to work the POS system.

**Key Activities and Responsibilities**
- Ice, glaze, and decorate donuts following standard procedures
- Preparing all dips, glazes, fillings, and other toppings as required
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with customized donut designs and special requests
- Stay updated on current trends in decorating techniques and styles
- Prepare pre-orders each day before store opening
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during food preparation and decoration.
- Cleaning kitchen equipment after use
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient kitchen environment
- Putting away all food and equipment used during shift
- Help maintain a clean kitchen
- Dishwashing as needed
- Frying donuts as needed

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Proficiency in donut/cake/pastry decorating techniques, including piping and custom design.
- Understand color theory as it pertains to blending buttercream colors and coordinating complementing palettes
- Excellent attention to detail and artistic skills for creating visually appealing design.
- Education certificate in culinary arts/pastry school is an asset
- Ability to follow recipes, directions, and procedures; effective time management and organization skills.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry.
- Experience in food preparation and handling within a bakery or kitchen setting
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- A passion for baking and a willingness to learn new techniques in cake decorating
- Ability to work as part of a team

**Physical Requirements**
- Constant standing/walking
- Occasional stooping, kneeling or crawling
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50lbs
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders
- Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
- Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around work area
- Constant reception of detailed instructions through oral communication
- Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
- Occasional Distinguishing, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$18.50 per hour
