OTEC is Ontario’s Tourism Workforce Development Organization. We’re a not-for-profit committed to the growth of a professional and skilled tourism workforce in communities and organizations throughout the province.

**Position Summary**
**Responsibilities**
**Stakeholder Engagement**
- Creates and fosters ongoing relationships with Tourism SkillsNet Ontario’s diverse membership: (i) tourism and hospitality businesses/employers ii) industry associations iii) employment and training organizations iv) government and community stakeholders.
- Provides information and educates stakeholders on current TSNO initiatives, through activities such as: attending networking events, individual meetings, facilitating group meetings, presentations delivered, creating and distributing various communications; engaging attendees in discussions regarding current initiatives, services and programs; answering queries or referring stakeholders to relevant resources; and by acting as a steward of relationships with specific partners, where appropriate.
- Represent OTEC and Tourism SkillsNet Ontario through attendance at local community events, regional industry meetings, and regional trade and other shows.
**TSNO Alliance & Project Management**
- Working within a team, contribute to the TSNO Alliance through the participation and coordination of the Provincial Advisory Council and Regional Working Groups including: Planning and facilitating meetings; Community strategic recovery planning activities; Statistical reporting on impact indicators; Communications, marketing and outreach leveraging industry and stakeholder networks and cross-promoting OTEC’s full suite of projects, products and services
- Contribute to the execution of sector-based projects including: Project launch meetings and ongoing project planning meetings; Supporting the monthly monitoring and reporting on project milestones, outcomes, and impact; Supporting the planning and execution of project communications, marketing and outreach leveraging industry and stakeholder networks and cross-promoting OTEC’s full suite of projects, products and services
- Facilitate the validation of potential new OTEC’s initiatives with TSNO members
**Business Development/Client Relationships**
- Establish excellent relationships with key partners
- Conduct regular industry research (regional/segment-specific) to identify potential partnership opportunities and support existing partners with relevant information
- Contribute to business development activities and communications to increase stakeholder engagement
- Plan and facilitate stakeholder engagement meetings and events across Ontario
**General Administration**
- Develop and maintain OTEC’s project management methodologies, technology, and processes to ensure quality and consistency
- Liaise with internal OTEC project managers and their teams to enable cross promotion and alignment of messaging to industry stakeholders
**Skills & Experience**
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage multiple stakeholders, negotiate potential collaborations and navigate complex province-wide ecosystem and framework
- Experience using and leveraging Customer Relationship Management tools to inform actions and decision making
- Understanding of industry workforce development ecosystem
- Strong customer service orientation and attitude
- Flexible, adaptable and can establish good working relationships with colleagues, partners other stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, problem solve and work
