**JOB OVERVIEW**:
**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**:
- Conduct repair and maintenance tasks on blast and paint equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Inspect machinery and equipment to identify issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
- Prepare equipment for rental by thoroughly inspecting, testing, and calibrating to ensure it meets operational standards and safety regulations.
- Utilize a variety of tools and equipment to complete repair and maintenance tasks, including cutting, welding, and fabricating new parts as needed.
- Assemble and disassemble machinery and equipment for repair, maintenance, or transportation purposes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and service history.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to prioritize tasks, coordinate maintenance schedules, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries in the workplace.
- Stay updated on advancements in blast and paint equipment technology, tools, and techniques through training and professional development opportunities.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
- Ability to travel.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanical or industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role or familiarity with industrial machinery and equipment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools for repair, maintenance, and fabrication tasks.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues effectively.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components is desirable.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and procedures in the field of industrial equipment maintenance.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- a valid Red Seal (Heavy Duty) is an asset.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
**WORK HOURS**:
Typical Monday-Friday 8-5 office hours. Overtime and travel may be required as part of normal business operations.
**PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND REQUIREMENTS**:
- Exposure to the Warehouse/Operations areas where certain areas may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection is common.
- Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration is common.
- Exposure to outdoor elements such as heat, cold and rain is common.
Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting up to 55lbs as required. Proper lifting techniques required.
