MATRIX is a national company providing camps, logistics and aviation management services to a diverse range of clients in the resource and service sectors. Terrace is the regional hub for northwestern BC supporting mining exploration camps with expediting, people movement and supplies. MATRIX’s safety and efficiency to our clients is of top priority.

Job Requirements:
MATRIX is currently seeking an experienced **Purchaser.**

You will be responsible for purchasing parts and supplies for all of our camps across B.C, tracking current orders, receiving quotes from different suppliers, and working closely with the Logistics Coordinator to streamline deliverables to our client’s worksites. The Purchaser would report to the General Manager. This is a fulltime permanent position located in Terrace, BC.

**Operational Responsibilities:
- Receive orders from camps across BC, prioritize critical parts orders.
- Get quotes for new orders, track progress on outstanding orders, work with logistics on coordinating the shipping and load building for camp deliverables.
- Actively manage suppliers to ensure one-time, in-quality delivery of all equipment across all camps, in accordance with real time delivery cycle.
- Support the Logistics Coordinator with the planning of shipments and manifesting purchased items.

**Strategic Responsibilities**:

- Analytics: Support the manager in supplier performance discussions and negotiations through structures analysis of cost data, error data etc.
- Project Management: Support operations on key projects which may include onboarding of new suppliers, products, and packaging innovations to improve quality and customer perception, cost takedowns etc.

**Required Knowledge & Experience**
- 3-5 years’ experience journey parts person would be very valuable.
- General industrial and construction knowledge such as standard plumbing/electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Above average Microsoft Office skillset.
- Strong computer literacy
- Analytical/Proactive
