Your Opportunity We are seeking a pool of talented professional biologists, scientists, and technicians to support our growing construction monitoring program. The field needs include freshwater fish salvage, marine fish and crab salvage, water quality monitoring, marine sediment monitoring, and stream habitat assessments. These programs help mitigate environmental effects on aquatic systems and contribute to responsible development in British Columbia. Qualifications & Capabilities Aquatic Field Technician Technical degree or diploma in environmental science or biological sciences General knowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and policies Comfortable working in a construction environment in remote locations for 2–3 weeks at a time Must be a team player with a proactive and open‑minded attitude Aquatic Field Crew Lead Minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, science, biology, forestry, or a related field General knowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and policies Experience in the collection of biological and physical field data; experience with aquatics or fisheries programs or construction environmental monitoring is an asset Must be a good communicator, leader, and problem‑solver with a positive attitude and attention to detail Comfortable working in a construction environment and directing a small team in remote locations for 2–3 weeks at a time Intermediate and Senior Aquatic Biologists Minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, biology, science, forestry, or a related field Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience; experience in managing construction environmental monitoring is an asset Knowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and policies Experience in (field‑or‑desktop‑based) freshwater or marine fish salvage, water quality monitoring, marine sediment monitoring, stream habitat assessment following provincial standards Additional Information This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee; other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice. Actual compensation is based on education, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain roles are bonus eligible. Part‑time compensation is pro‑rated.
