**Qualifications**

  • Personal Support Worker certificate a plus
  • A graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course or equivalent is a plus
  • Experience in working with seniors in a health care facility

  • Must be able to communicate verbally in English including written documentation and comprehension
  • Has an acceptable standard of behavior and appearance
  • Genuine interest in and concern for residents
  • Demonstrates good customer service

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Specific procedures will be listed on Job routines and or assigned by the supervisor
  • Performs resident personal care function with an acceptable standard of skill, sense of responsibility and respect for privacy
  • Observing and reporting change in the residents’ condition. Knows the guidelines of care of assigned residents as outlined in the resident care plans. Gives care according to guidelines.
  • Participates in the overall recreation process in the residence
  • Assist in escorting residents to dining room and specific programs
  • Performs light housekeeping duties
  • Performs personal care and selected nursing measures to promote comfort and safety for the resident in accordance with our standards of resident care.
  • Assist with the maintenance of records reflecting each resident’s condition and care. Maintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, family and fellow staff, using the appropriate lines of communication
  • Assists in maintain a safe, neat clean environment for residents and personnel
  • Shares responsibility for equipment care and care of resident personal belongings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

**Job Type**: Part-time

Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: $17.24 per hour

Schedule

  • 8 hour shift

**Experience**

  • supportive care: 1 year (preferred)
