**Role Overview**:
The Controller will oversee financial and accounting activities within Dunsire Developments. This individual will act as a strategic partner to the Founder & President, ensuring robust financial planning, risk management, and compliance with best accounting practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Be able to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders
- Proficient in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
- Ensures accuracy and completeness in all financial activities
- Shows flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment. Manages multiple priorities effectively
- Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and projections
- Ensure effective financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Promote and embody corporate culture, driving improvement initiatives and enhancing cross-department communication and collaboration
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses to the executive team, board of directors, stakeholders, and lenders
- Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions
- Manage relationships with lenders, investors, and other financial stakeholders
- Optimize the company’s capital structure and financing strategies to support growth initiatives
- Develop and implement risk management policies to protect the company’s financial interests and mitigate potential risks

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA designation required
- Minimum of 6 years of finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in the real estate development industry is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
- Ability to lead and mentor a high-performing finance team
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite

Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
