**The Opportunity**:

Key Responsibilities: *
- Oversee full cycle accounting operations including revenue recognition, accounts receivable, accounts payable and month end processes
- Assist the Director of Finance and CFO with quarterly public financial statements
- Assist in facilitating external audit of financial statements with external audit firm
- Oversee all employees involved in the accounting process (including recruitment, training, coaching, planning, and monitoring)
- Assist in coordinating and preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances
- Ensure all reporting is compliant with statutory law and financial regulations
- Contribute to company financial strategy and decision-making processes
- Manage accounting operations in all aspects
- Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures
- Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel (including wages, ROEs, T4’s etc.)
- Assist with mergers and acquisition planning and consolidating financial operations
- Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed

**Required Skills/Qualifications**:

- 5+ years in an accountant or related position
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite
- Professional communication skills
- Desire for continual learning
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to provide, accept, and integrate constructive feedback

**Experience with any of the following would be considered an asset**:

- Degree/diploma in Accounting (or working towards)
- CPA designation (or working towards) is an asset
- Purchasing experience
- NETSUITE Enterprise experience

**Languages**:

- English (mandatory)
- Bilingual French/English (preferred)
