**Shift Hours**: Friday: 9;00am - 6:00pm, Saturday and Sunday; 7:00am - 6;30pm, Monday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
SUMMARY
Weekend Dispatch Truck Load Coordinator is responsible for the effective management and coordination of the Erb Int fleet. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring loads and dispatches for each truckload board are executed according to plans set by Lead Planners. The goal is servicing clients efficiently while meeting a high standard of customer service. Trouble shooting problems, immediately addressing transit delays or challenges, and quickly and effectively altering previously planned dispatches when necessary to limit service problems and contribute to driver satisfaction.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Being prepared and reviewing previously arranged plans made by Mon to Fri Lead Planners.
- Collaborate with Mon to Fri staff and suggest ideas when inconsistencies are present or if inefficiencies are noted.
- Execute and follow through load plans as set by Lead Planners.
- Connect with drivers and/or terminal staff, to confirm weekend plans and loads, and ensure drivers and personnel are aware and prepared for the planned tasks whether pre-arranged or new possible task.
- Follow up and delegate to appropriate weekend support staff.
- Critical thinking to troubleshoot and adjust load plans if problems arise and to improve plans operating efficiencies.
- Act as liaison between driver, operations, shop, driver services etc; liaise with operating locations / terminals to maximize equipment efficiency and utilization.
- Assisting with drivers for clarifying plans and responding to inquiries.
- Be a main contributor for driver satisfaction and success.
- Knowledge of all International Boards and transportation requirements for freight movements between Canada and the United States including U.S. and Canada Customs and supporting agencies (FDA, USDA, Agriculture Canada, etc.)
- Maintaining and building a positive rapport with all drivers, other departments, and other operating locations.
- Liaise with other operating locations to maximize equipment efficiency and utilization.
- Review fleet personnel to ensure proper allocation of personnel and equipment to maximize operational efficiencies.
- Respond to satellite messages, dispatch accordingly and make necessary equipment moves in all areas of dispatch.
- Respond to queries from employees and customers regarding service issues.
- All other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Employee must be flexible with a composed approach.
- Strong leadership skills, and pro active attitude with the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- A positive attitude and display excellent customer service skills.
- Flexibility to cover for other weekend Coordinators and Planners when necessary.
- Ability to identify and constructively make recommendations regarding operational improvements.
- At least 3 years’ previous experience as a dispatcher in the transportation industry.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office; Excel, Word, Outlook. Previous experience with routing software is an asset.
- Technical knowledge of major vehicle systems and various equipment types.
- Knowledge of Highway Traffic Act, hours of service logs, load security, weight restrictions and Regulations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Full-time position, salary based on 40 hours per week. Friday 09:00am to 18:00pm, Saturday & Sunday 7:00am to 18:30pm. Monday 6:00am to 14:00pm.
