The PSW is responsible for providing direct skills and duties and may include, but is not limited to:

- following the plan of care as set forth by EnCompass Home Care Services Chief Director of Care, and by Most Responsible Medical Practitioner (GP, MD, or NP)
- Providing treatments in accordance with CNO scopes and standards of practice
- Working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive client care outcomes.
- Provide a therapeutic and supportive healing experience for EnCompass Clientele
- Operate in a timely and courteous manner
- Exceptional verbal and written communication is a MUST
- Be flexible and adaptive
- Provide short term, post acute interventions as well as long term care for clients in the home or in care facilities

PSW will carry out or assist with activities of daily living with the goal of supporting client independence and optimal functioning. These activities include:

- Following and Implementing care plan interventions
- Feeding o Toileting o Dressing
- Bathing o Mobility assistance (including the proper use of transfer and lifting devices)
- Medication assistance (community clients only)
- Activation, companionship, and social engagement
- Reporting changes in client status or safety concerns to Owners of EnCompass HCS and/or responsible family member
- Documenting care provided

**Employment Requirements**:

- Graduated from an accredited and recognized Personal Support Worker program or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 6 months experience in homecare setting
- Current CPR certificate
- Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance
- TB test or chest x-ray
- Available for a minimum of 6 shifts per month Adherence to PHIPA legislation. Employer and prohibits any and all forms of Discrimination and Harassment. We are committed to creating a diverse work environment

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
COVID 19 vaccination preferred (2 doses + booster) but daily screening and occasional Rapid Testing required.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- St. Catharines, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Support Care: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Ontario Drivers License (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
