Role Description
This is a full-time, part-time, or casual role for a Personal Support Worker located in Welland Ontario, and the surrounding Niagara, Hamilton, and Haldimand regions. The Personal Support Worker will be responsible for providing support to clients by assisting with daily living activities, managing personal hygiene, maintaining a clean living environment, and assisting with medication. Other tasks include supporting clients in physical activities, mobility assistance, palliative care, and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients through vigilant safeguarding practices.
Qualifications
- 3+ Years of Experience as a Support Worker
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication skills
- Knowledge of Safeguarding practices
- Technical Support skills relevant to the role
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in a healthcare or similar setting is a plus
- Relevant certification or training as a Personal Support
Must Have:
- Valid Drivers License
- Personal Support Worker Diploma or Equivalent
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Proof of Eligibility to Work in Canada
